About Gemma

Gemma Ashford is from London, UK. She was lucky to train at one of Londons best Drama schools, The Central School of Speech and Drama where she studied Acting Musical Theatre.

Gemma moved to Italy in 2001, where she taught English by performing interactive plays and workshops for Elementari and Media students. Gemma also began teaching English in private schools in Italy where she taught adults and children. In 2004, she expanded the project to England to run a theatre project teaching French, Spanish and Italian in UK schools.

In 2007, Gemma moved to Thailand to teach English to refugees. Whilst she was there, she opened an animal sanctuary which still exists today rescuing any animal in need.

Gemma moved back to England in 2014 where she continued her theatre projects alongside working as an actress in murder mysteries (below are some of her murder mystery characters)

Gemma has recently returned to Italy where she has started running her English theatre school in Turin.
