English Theatre School is run by native English actress and teacher, Gemma Ashford. We offer:

Individual English classes/conversational English/ English Drama classes in any location,
Group classes in any location, with the chance to perform in a real theatre at the end of the course (suitable for 20 lessons or more)
School Theatre Show at your school, where Gemma performs a fun, interactive theatre show- adaptable for any level,
School interactive English drama workshops in your classroom,
English drama lessons at your school, which can include an end of course theatre performance for other pupils and parents (suitable for 20 lessons or more)

Gemma says:

'Using a combination of scripts adapted or written by me and improvisation and creative exploration, we will build your English language and communication skills. Language is not just about words. We often use movement, intonation, mime, which all help us to be understood. If we can't find a word, we use another one and we use mime and movement to help us. You will learn that it's ok to make mistakes, as long as you can be understood. Using this approach, you will naturally improve and in a much faster and more natural way. This type of active learning is the way we all learnt our native language/s after all!

I find that teaching English using this approach really gives people a confidence boost, which not only spurs them to keep going, but also helps them with communication and confidence in everyday life!'
